By downloading, installing, or using the East Anglia Events mobile application ("App", "Service", "we", "us", or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and East Anglia Events regarding your use of the App.

2. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE

East Anglia Events is a social events platform that enables users to:
- Discover and join local events
- Create and host their own events
- Connect with other users attending events
- Share event stories and experiences
- Build social connections through shared activities

 

3. ELIGIBILITY AND USER ACCOUNTS

 

Account Requirements:

- You must be at least 18 years old to use East Anglia Events
- You must provide accurate, complete, and current information
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You may not use another person's account without permission
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

 

Account Types:

- Personal Account: For individual users
- Business Account: For organizations and businesses (requires invite code)

 

4. ADDITIONAL IN-APP PURCHASES

 

Consumable Products:

- Single Post: £5.00 - Add one extra event to your monthly allowance
- 5 Posts Bundle: £20.00 - Add five extra events (best value)
- Additional posts are valid for the current month only and do not roll over

 

Boost Tokens:

- Starter Pack (5 tokens): £3.99
- Best Value Pack (10 tokens): £7.99
- Pro Pack (25 tokens): £14.99
- Enterprise Pack (50 tokens): £24.99
- Boost tokens increase the visibility of your events in the feed

 

Purchase Terms:

- All purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by law
- Consumable purchases cannot be transferred between accounts
- Prices may vary by region and are subject to change

 

5. USER CONDUCT AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

You agree to:

- Use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

- Respect other users and their privacy
- Provide accurate information in your profile and events
- Attend events you've committed to joining
- Follow event capacity limits and host rules

 

You agree NOT to:

- Post false, misleading, or deceptive content
- Create fake events or spam
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm other users
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights
- Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or its systems
- Use the App for commercial purposes without our authorization
- Violate any local laws regarding public gatherings or events

 

6. Event Participation and Liability

 

Event Creation

- Event hosts are solely responsible for their events
- Hosts must ensure events comply with local laws and regulations
- Hosts must provide accurate event information
- Hosts are responsible for managing event capacity and attendees

 

Event Attendance

- Users attend events at their own risk
- East Anglia Events is not responsible for any incidents at events
- Users should verify event details before attending
- Users should exercise caution when meeting new people

 

Disclaimer

East Anglia Events is a platform that connects users but does not organize, sponsor, or supervise events. We are not liable for any damages, injuries, or issues arising from event participation.

 

7. Content and Intellectual Property

 

Your Content

- You retain ownership of content you post
- You grant East Anglia Events a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute your content within the App
- You represent that you have the right to post any content you share
- You are solely responsible for your content

 

Our Content

- The East Anglia Events App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by East Anglia Events
- The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws
- You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer any part of the App

 

8. Privacy and Data Protection

 

Your use of East Anglia Events is also governed by our Privacy Policy, available at https://www.eastangliaevents.co.uk/privacy-policy

- We collect only necessary information to provide the Service
- We do not sell your personal data
- You can request deletion of your account and data at any time

9. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

- The App is provided "as is" and "as available"
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
- We may modify or discontinue features without notice

 

No Warranties

- We make no warranties, express or implied, about the App
- We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any information
- We are not responsible for user-generated content

 

Limitation of Liability

 

To the maximum extent permitted by law, East Anglia Events shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the App.

 

10. Indemnification

 

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless East Anglia Events and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:

- Your use of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Content you post or share through the App

 

11. Termination

 

By You

- You may stop using the App at any time
- You can delete your account through the App settings
- Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed

 

By Us

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, if:

- You breach these Terms
- You engage in conduct we deem inappropriate or harmful
- Required by law or court order

 

Effect of Termination

- Your right to use the App ceases immediately
- Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

 

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through:

- In-app notifications
- Email notifications
- Update notices when opening the App

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or use of the App shall be resolved through:

1. Good faith negotiations
2. If unsuccessful, binding arbitration in Suffolk, United Kingdom
3. Small claims court for qualifying disputes

 

14. Apple-Specific Terms

For iOS users, these additional terms apply:

- These Terms are an agreement between you and East Anglia Events only, not with Apple
- Apple has no obligation to furnish maintenance and support services
- In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App
- Apple is not responsible for addressing any third-party intellectual property claims
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms
- You represent that you are not located in a country subject to U.S. Government embargo

 

15. General Provisions

 

Entire Agreement

 

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and East Anglia Events regarding the App.

 

Severability

 

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect.

 

Waiver

 

No waiver of any term shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver.

 

Assignment

 

You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent.

 

Notices

 

We may provide notices through the App, email, or other reasonable means.
